Venice will be the first Los Angeles neighborhood to get in
on the bike share kiosks that Santa Monica currently hosts called the Breeze
system. Leave the grind of the drive behind and ‘rent’ a bike to get you from point
A to B at convenient stations around town. How perfect for the feel good, do
good vibe of Venice.
The bike sharing idea comes from our east coaster cousin New
York city, and other metropolitan areas that have adopted this incredibly
convenient resource for community members and visitors that don’t want to be
bothered with driving and worse, finding a parking spot.
The rollout for the Breeze system in Venice is slated for
mid-March, with the five potential station locations being Venice Blvd/Abbot
Kinney, California Ave/Abbot Kinney, Windward Plaza, Ocean Front Walk/Rose Ave,
and Rose/Fifth St.
With Earth Day approaching, we’re excited to see the city of
Los Angeles doing their part to cut down on pollution in our beautiful city.
